I worked with Page for many years at WSSC. He was a electrical mechanical supervisor and when we first met I was a wet behind the ears engineer. He always helped me to be better and I will tell a short story. One of the automation panels failed causing a major process to shut down. I was far away at another plant. I asked Page to please let me attempt repair early the next morning as my boss would not pay overtime. He trusted me enough to delay repair. He did not have to do that and it made me look good but I learned what a great leader AND PERSON THAT HE WAS. I learned a lot that day that was not in any book. I also had the privilege and pleasure to work with his son Jimmy for many years at Piscataway and other places. I was not on Pages staff so he may not have remembered me. My biggest regret was I did not visit him on his farm before he passed. Page reminded me of my own father and he was part of the old guard at WSSC. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts prayers are with the family at this sad time. With love and respect Stan WSSC 1975 – 2022.
Sincere condolences to Barbara and all of Pages’s family. My brother Roy (Shifflett) has spoken many times of the love and respect him he held for times spent with Page. He is out of time but surely wishes you peace and comfort at this difficult time. He will be missed by many for his kindness and thoughtful way of making everyone feel welcome.
I worked with Page at WSSC for many years. He taught me so much about my job and life. He was like a Father to me, he was truly a blessing in my life. So many memories that I will treasure. I will truly miss him, and the messages/pictures he would send. May he rest in peace. Sending Love, Hugs, & Prayers to the Bowen family.
Page was a great man and will truly be missed. He was my first Supervisor when I started at WSSC, and his fathering personality helped me in more ways than he will ever know. For example, he wrote me up for something I deserved, and I became a better worker and manager for it. I had the pleasure of getting to know his family and work with both his sons over the years. Both Page and Barbara should be very proud of the strong work ethic both of them continue to apply to this day in everything they do. Page and his family will always have a special place in my heart and he will truly be missed. May he rest in peace.
I met Mr Bowen later in his life while working with his son Donnie. He was such a good hearted man and had the best hair still . He loved talking about everything on the farm and making his rounds in the golf cart to feed the chickens and fish and kept Donnie out of trouble . I enjoyed seeing him whenever I went to the farm .
