Lesley L Rice, 45, passed on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at her home in Prince Frederick, MD. Lesley was born on November 6, 1967 in Washington, DC. She was the daughter of Billy Venis and the late Patricia Venis.
She enjoyed helping others, walking the beach to find sea glass and sharks teeth, fishing and spending time with her family. She took great pride in being a mother and grandmother. If anybody were ever in need, Lesley would be the first one there lending a helping hand.
Lesley was preceded in death by her mother and son, Johnathon Kinard. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Randy E. Rice. She also survived by her two daughters Candis Cobb of Onancock, VA and Ashley Kruk of Hollywood, MD; father Billy Venis; her grandmother, Margaret Smith; one sister, LaDonna Wood; one brother, Wes Venis; Three grandchildren, Tye Venis-Cobb, Shayna Cobb, Kaydence Kinard, and one more on the way; three nieces, Jamie Dorsey, Christina Wood, Kayleigh Venis; one nephew, Nolan Wood; and one great nephew, Frankie J. Tayman Jr.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, July 12, 2013 from10 to 11 AM with the service to follow at 11:00 at the Rausch Funeral Home 4405 Broomes Island Road. The interment will be located in Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD.
