Lauren Jan Gray

Lauren Jan Gray (Jan), 77, of California, Maryland, passed away on February 18, 2024. Born in Candler, North Carolina, to Lock Carmel and Mary Pearl Hutchinson. Jan was preceded in death by her brother, Phillip Hutchinson and husband, Leonard Gray.
Survived by sons Blake and Jason Gray, daughter Leigh Ann Gray, and grandchildren Bennett and Vivian. Also survived by siblings Carol, Roger, and LC.
Jan, a proud member of the Enka High Class of 1964, loved lighthouses and sharing desserts with her grandchildren.
As we mourn a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, let us also celebrate the memories Jan brought into our lives.
A service in Candler, North Carolina, will honor Jan’s life later this year.

Jan was a second mom to me, as I was blessed to have known her for 26 years. I will treasure my memories with her. May she rest in peace.
