Kinsley Reese Sandvik
June 21, 2011 – February 14, 2020
Kinsley Reese Sandvik “our forever valentine” age 8 passed on February 14, 2020 from an unexpected illness. She was born a ball of fire on the first day of summer June 21, 2011 and has been running ever since. She exuded a confidence most would only dream of, people flocked to her, she was beautiful. She had “it” whatever “it” was. Her laugh was contagious, and her personality was infectious. To Kinsley no one was a stranger not even the pizza man, although it was scary sometimes it was also endearing in the sweet innocent way, she believed the good in people. She was a spit fire and it can be assured she wouldn’t take nothing off anyone and would let you know how she feels about what you’re doing or what you are wearing. She had style, her own style, sporty but girly. A soccer player with press on nails. She was tiny but mighty and she loved her sisters and had their backs, against everything or anyone. She was Ford’s protector, sometimes even from mom and dad. Ford and she played and ran for hours around our house doing anything he wanted to do. She loved him something fierce and he loved her in return. On the soccer field at age 4 she fell in love and after every goal she looked directly to find her parents to make sure they saw it and were cheering her on. She was a hard worker, always did her best and always had a smile on her face. She made everyone laugh without even trying, but she was the only person who could pluck every nerve you have in the same sentence. She was survived by her parents Jordan and Shannon Sandvik, her siblings Emmry, Ava, Rylan and Ford, her grandparents, Donna and Greg Ferguson, Kathy and Richard Matzel, Steve and Dawn Sandvik and Ricky and Maryanne Nichols as well as her God mother Shaina Warring. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her and even ones that didn’t. We all know this was Kinsley’s world and we were just living in it.

Shannon,
May God shine perpetual light upon Kinsley. We believe she was needed to be among the angels, having left our world in a better place from her time with us. Pat and I send our deepest condolences at this very sad time. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you!
Peggy and Pat Mertes (from long ago)
Our entire family knew Kinsley’s infectious smile and spitfire spirit. She will be greatly missed in the world. We are feeling for all of her family and close friends at this tragic time.
With love,
Kayla, Kristin, Mark, Jessica and Joshua.
We are so sorry to hear about your loss. Everyone was very sad. You probably don’t know me personally, but I heard about Kinsley through mutual friends that know you, and we are very saddened. As dancers we all unite, and please know that we are all very sad and send our heartfelt condolences.

Donna and family, please accept my deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers. I cannot imagine what you and your family must be going through at this difficult time. Your Kinsley is flying high with the Angels in Heaven. You and your family will remain in my prayers. With love from one of your High Point Homes neighbors, Nancy Woodell
Our son Robert is in Kinsley’s class. We have been praying since we heard she was sick and continue to pray for your family. Robert said Kinsley was very funny in class. We are so very sorry and heart broken to hear of her passing. There are just no words, sending all our love to everyone.
Please accept my condolences. Kinsley, what a beautiful name for a beautiful girl. This is incredibly touching. My heart aches. Baby girl is at peace now. No more pain for her. The pain is left for us to bear, the living. We must absorb this pain for Kinsley. May God be with us all while we get through the pain of dealing with death while living.
My heart goes out to you all and my prayers are going up for you. I know this is such a difficult time and difficult loss to process. I’m praying specifically that you will be comforted and know that she was loved and will be remembered for being sassy spirited little lady that so many knew and loved. Bless you
She may be physically gone but she will always be with you every time you smile or laugh at a memory, see her in your mind or feel her in your hearts. The feeling of sadness and loss can be so immense its hard to imagine being able to go on at all. Just remember that spunk and fire she had inside and that she got it from somewhere, you both. So remember you have it inside as well and to burn it bright on dark days and nights because it’s her living on within you. Although I didnt know her she obviously loved you both and her siblings and probably would want you to remember her spark and for you to let yours shine on for her. I don’t think any of our family that passes wants to see us sad, feel it as you need to but also remember who she was, that she is watching over you and that more than likely if she saw you crying and sad she’d be running up and puttin a smile on your faces. So let her memory do that for you when the sadness passes, remember all the joy she brought and laugh and smile for her. Give that gift to her because that was her gift to you and she would probably want ya both to remember that. Blessings to you all.
As young as Kinsely was, her job here on Earth is complete. It is so hard to believe that someone so young and vivacious is called home so early in life. But she obviously left an ever-lasting impression on everyone she encountered and touched numerous hearts. I am so very sorry that you, as young parents, have to endure this pain and loss. I hope that wonderful, loving memories will lift your hearts and help you get through this difficult time. You and your family are in many peoples’ prayers. God Bless you.
Shannon. It is so hard to write something that is meaningful and heartfelt at this time. My heart aches for you and your family. I didn’t know Kinsley but yet I did. Knowing your mom and you, Kinsley had to be special. I love you Shannon. May God have a special place in heaven for Kinsley. May he help you through this painful time.
Mrs. Sandvik and family,
Tyler and I want to let you know your all in our hearts. It saddens us to hear of such a tragic loss. Your little super star will shine bright upon your family. Please know your all in our thoughts and prayers. Lots of love! Tyler Cawley and Christine Rose
Dear Shannon, you have always had a place in my heart, even after all these years. My heart is breaking for the loss you, your husband, and whole family have suffered. I’m sorry I never got to meet your beautiful Kinsley, who looks so much like you. It is clear she drew people to her because of her wonderful spirit and personality. She will be missed by everyone. I wish there was something I could do for you. Sending love and healing prayers to you and your family.

I’ve been through what you’re going through, Shannon. My daughter was 7 when a sudden illness took her. But trust me, we are only temporarily apart. She’s still around and can see and hear us if she wants to. Do not lose hope. It’ll be our turns one day and I asked her to save us a spot in heaven for me.
I know Maryanne who shared the heartbreaking news. I’m thankful for the time God let you have your angel Kinsley on earth and know she’ll always be with you in spirit and heart. Praying and sending healing thoughts to help ease your heavy hearts. Bless you all.
Even though I have never met you, I can just tell you were an amazing kid. I am great friends with the older sister Emmry and cannot even imagine what pain this family is going through. Even I cannot stop mourning the loss of an amazing little girl even though I know God had a plan for Kinsley and she fulfilled that plan.
I work with Maryanne who was has been very kind and thoughtful to me; I cannot imagine the heartbreak this is to your family. Knowing there are no words that can make this better, I can only wish you the comfort of your cherished memories and the support of your family and community.
Sending prayers for your family in this time of sorrow.
I didnt have the pleasure of meeting Kinsley, but I can tell by all the pictures and videos that she was definitely someone very special. May God continue to give your family strength & peace.
When you look to the heavens and see the brightest star & it is twinkling quickly that will be Kinsley letting you know that she is watching over you.
Love & prayers to you all.
( I am friends with Emmry’s dad.)
