Julie D. Williams, 74, of Long Beach in St. Leonard, Maryland passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on November 30, 1948 in Washington, D.C. to the late James G. and Ellen E. MacPherson. Besides her parents, Julie is preceded in death by her younger sister and brother, Laurie Marshall and Duncan MacPherson.
Julie was a licensed cosmetologist and worked for a number of years in several different beauty shops around Calvert County. She also worked at Buehler’s Market in St. Leonard before becoming a teacher’s assistant with Calvert County Public Schools where she was assigned to Mutual Elementary in Port Republic for many years. She and her late husband Wayne built their home together in Long Beach and enjoyed spending time along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay.
Julie loved gardening, working in her yard and spending time with her family. She was a member of Waters Memorial United Methodist Church and spent countless hours volunteering her time at the church.
Julie is survived by her children; Christina Marie Farley, Sandra Lynn Custer, Charles Wayne Williams, Richard Brian Williams, Bridget Ann Jordan and Tracy Lynn Prunty. Grandmother of Jessica Rose Lee, Julie Elizabeth Farley, Michael Zachary Custer, Kristin Nicole Muise, C.J. Williams, Jonathan Raleigh Williams, Stephanie Marie Wall, Landon Jordan, Logan Jordan, Liam Jordan, Jessica Davis and Richard Davis. Great Grandmother of Kennedy Jean Lee, Karsyn Elizabeth Lee, and Rhys Michael Muise.

My deepest condolences to the family. I couldn’t have asked for better neighbors than Wayne and Julie and I have missed them both so much over the years. May God bless them both.
