Dear Joe, Dotty and family,
You have my heartfelt sympathy on the loss of Joyce. She was a dear friend and colleague. Indeed, an incredible person who managed our office efficiently and effectively from simply keeping the coffee pot full to arranging schedules and compiling briefing books for a number of Secretaries of Labor to attend international conferences. She treated all of us with respect and reassurance even when deadlines loomed for last minute briefing materials and staff tensions ran high. I was honored to have known and worked with her. She is fondly remembered and will be sorely missed.

To the family of Joyce, my deepest condolences. I worked with Joyce in ILAB until my RIF in 1982 and then with Joe Fox in the Comptroller from 1982-87 and then back to ILAB in 1990 until my retirement in 2004. She enjoyed her job and her colleagues, and she enjoyed working on the various events sponsored in ILAB.

Our hearts are sad but in peace because she is with the Lord. She was very much loved. Our prayers are with your family.
Thanks all for the kind words about our mom. She will be sorely missed but she is definitely in a better place and no longer in pain.
