Joe had the kindest heart of any person I have ever known. He would give you the shirt off his back and a pint of blood if you needed it. He took great pride in his work and loved his family above all else. He adored his children and loved his grandchildren. No one was an outsider to Joe. He welcomed everyone into his home and his heart. May he be at peace. He fought hard to the end. ♥️
I always thought of Joe as a father, his son and i had dated for 3 going on 4 years, he was a big part of my life. He helped me through tough times, we laughed together, went to dinners together, he treated me as family. I wish the family the best, and prayers to all.
You were an amazing friend, the one who answered every message, didn’t matter the time.(must be a family thing because Beki is the same). Loved seeing your updates, watching your kids grow up and all of us grow older. Once you left school the halls of Southern were NEVER the same. You never missed a chance to catch up, or share what your family was up too. It seems like just yesterday we were all playing on C.B. tearing up the roads back home. You gave everything you had those lucky enough to know you. The world is a little more lost without you. But make sure to give Heaven HELL! Like only you can. Fly high sweet friend..
Wow, what a shocker, Joey was one of the best men that I knew. Loved being around him. You never could tell he was a Northern. He was a big kid at heart. Loved everyone he was around. Just down to earth. He will be missed tremendously, but God wanted him, he definitely takes the good ones. Joey give my mom and other family a big hug, tell them we love and miss them. We’ll see you again.😢🙏🙏 I love you 💙💙💙💙
Joe was a wonderful man with a big heart. He would do anything for anyone and he always made you feel welcomed. He was still my friend after I went through a nasty divorce. I lost so many friends but Joe, was still there checking on me. He was just that kind of man and friend! He will always hold a special place in my heart because he never took sides he was just there. He may be Gone but he will NEVER be forgotten. My prayers are with his wife, children, grandchildren and the rest of his family. May Joe forever Rest in Paradise and burn up those golden roads on his two wheels!!!
Little Joey. That’s how I’ll always think of him. Joey was kind and thoughtful and dedicated to those he loved. For many years he has been like a son to my dad and I will always be thankful for how much kindness and love he showed my dad. The world has lost a good man.
Lisa and Beki so sorry for your loss.

Me and joe became best friends in middle school in 1987. I ended up having to live with him and his family to finish the 8th grade. We had all kinds of fun during the time we shared together on the farm. When I had to move we still kept in touch. I will miss you my friend. See you on the other side.
Joe, you will be missed very much. I still remember the first day when you started working at Crandell’s. Starting as a laborer then quickly moving up to operating equipment, working on the stone projects with Buzzy till one day you became foreman. I remember working with your dad on various jobs as well.
You were always willing to offer help to others regardless of the situation and I admired you for that. I am going miss you very much. Your flame was extinguished far too early.

Thank you so much. Had no idea you ended up in Arizonia. Joey loved your Dad! Everyone at Crandell’s was part of the family to him and I appreciate how they treated him and my father. I was shocked when he ended up there and then when he enjoyed it so much — it was a calling. People who can excavate, place stone and make intricate designs that also support weight are gifted individuals. Thank you,
