I joined the union late in life… as an older apprentice, I worked a job with Joey at Walter Reed.  Joey was very good to me, when others weren’t.  He never was too serious, and always had some story that would make you laugh!  I met him at a time in my life that was very difficult for me… getting to work with him made each day enjoyable.  Such a huge loss across the board… there aren’t many good people like him and certainly, there is only one Joey O’Bier

Ron and Vicki… I’m so sorry for your loss of Joey. When I saw you last week little did I know that I’d be hearing this sad news. I just can remember those 2 little boys living next door to us with my 2 little boys! I’ve walked in your shoes from losing my Son, John, and there are just no words that can soothe what you’re going through right now other than we are thinking about you and your family. Please accept mine and Donnie’s sincere condolences. 🙏
