Joseph Allen Oliff, age 63, passed away peacefully at home on February 16 after a brief illness. Born on February 01,1961 in Prince Frederick, MD, to the late Jack and Sally Oliff. Jody, as he was called by family and friends, was raised in St Leonard, MD where he graduated from Calvert High School.
He leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Alice Oliff, and his greatest accomplishment, his two children, Gregory J. Oliff, of Ellicott City, MD, and Amber N. Oliff of Towson, MD. He is survived by his brothers Michael Oliff, Jack Oliff, Jr, John Oliff and William Oliff; sisters Nancy Zebron, Melinda Kirby as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
He retired from QBH as a Permit Coordinator in 2022 after many years of working in the home building business with several companies in a variety of positions. Jody especially loved spending time with his family, golfing, playing his guitars, listening to music and when he was younger, playing softball. Everyone he met was touched by his kindness, compassion and gentle nature. He was loved and cherished by many.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jody’s memory to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America at https://adaa.org/donate to assist others who fight anxiety.
