John Mark Phipps, 53 of Gambrills passed away October 2, 2022, at Anne Arundel Medical Center with his loving wife, Tammy by his side. He was born January 27, 1969, in Prince Frederick, MD to William Ernest and Ruth Elizabeth (Ford) Phipps. Mark was raised in Calvert County and graduated from Northern High School in 1987. Mark married the love of his life, Tammy on October 3, 2020. He worked as a truck driver delivering propane for Arundel Gas & Water Company for 21 years. He enjoyed pulling horses, spending time with his wife and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers John, Tommy, Dickie, and Charles Phipps. Mark is survived by his wife, Tammy Phipps, son James (Megan) Arnold of York Springs, PA, bonus children Makenzie, Abby and Jacob (Bubba) Balance of Gambrills, MD sisters: Mary (James) Sutphin of Prince Frederick, MD and Linda Phipps of Clinton, MD, brothers: Chester (Mary) Phipps of Friendship, MD, Ronnie (Bonnie) Phipps of North Beach, MD, Ernie Phipps of Prince Frederick, MD, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
