John Lawrence Clark III
January 1, 1970 – January 31, 2023
John Lawrence Clark III, 53, went to his eternal resting place with Jesus on Tuesday, January 31, 2023; surrounded by his mother and soulmate, Caroline Briscoe after a short battle with cancer. Johnny was born on January 1, 1970, to Constance Elaine and John Lawrence Clark, Jr. He was raised in Huntingtown with his younger brother Bobby and was a 1988 graduate of Northern High School. As a child, Johnny and his brother enjoyed racing BMX bikes with their friends. He was an avid collector of baseball and football cards, loved playing golf, and enjoyed taking electronics apart, repairing, and restoring them to their original glory. Johnny later settled in Lusby, Maryland and was the ultimate “handyman” and caregiver for his grandmother Helen Marsellas.
Johnny is survived by his mother, Connie Clark; maternal grandmother, Helen Marsellas; paternal aunt, Patricia Horsmon (Clark); cousins, Jessica Lynn Kilby (Horsmon); Kelly Rogers Elliott; Holly Rogers Briscoe; Dawn Rogers; several cousins from the Marsellas family and devoted friend, Caroline Briscoe. Johnny was preceded in death by his father, John Lawrence Clark, Jr.; brother, Robert Michael Clark; maternal grandfather, C. Herbert Marsellas; paternal grandparents, Eloise and John Lawrence Clark, Sr.; and paternal uncle and aunt, Donald and Barbara Rogers (Clark).

I have so many fond memories of Johnny and Bobby from attending Northern High School together. I feel lucky to have had some adult memories with them in early adulthood. They both were always kind, we had many laughs and just all around good memories. As a parent, I hope you can be proud that the first thought that comes into my mind with both of your sons… KIND. I’m so sorry to learn about Johnny’s passing, I didn’t know he was sick. I hope and pray for peace and loving memories to your family as you remember.
