To my good friend and your lovely family in your time of loss. The love of a mother can never be replaced. Her caring nature and her warm spirit will live on in you always.
Know all those on the ESOH team have you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.
Mrs. Sweeney was a wonderful, kind, and loving person. She had the unique ability when you talked to her of making you feel like the only person on earth. She was very interested in your life and what you had to say. That was because of her incredible life experiences and the credibility she had. You just knew Mrs. Sweeney had been there and done that. Mrs. Sweeney and I shared a special bond since her husband and I were both career Army Officers. She would tell me about her travels with her husband and her challenges of being an Army Wife and Mother to her growing family. She told me about her husband writing home from Vietnam that their mission was to win the hears and minds of the Vietnamese people. Forty years later the same mission and exact same words were ours in Afghanistan. Mrs. Sweeney cherished her husband’s service and loved the Army. Rest in peace Mrs. Sweeney with your beloved husband and family members. Go Army. Beat Navy. Army Strong.
Patrick, Kevin and Brendan- my most sincere condolences at your time of sorrow. Your mother was a beautiful soul; always so gracious and welcoming. My sister Sue had said that Patrick tried to call and I could only assume it was for one reason. I was also saddened to see that Brian had passed away before your mother. I would love to hear from you. I can be found on Facebook under Christian Michael Rohrs or email at crohrs1@frontier.com. I also have a very special memento that I would like to share with you. Be well in your sorrow.
The members of Calvert Garden Club just found out about the loss of Joan. As a member of the Club, I will never forget her contributions and the care she bestowed on us. I was lucky enough to work with her as she was turning over her duties as the Librarian for the Club. Her devotion to library science and to her role in the Club made me proud to be in the same group with her. She also kindly invited me to join her knitting group.
The mold was broken after such wonderful women as Joan were made. I will always honor her memory.
My deepest condolences to the family. I am sorry for the belated message, but the sincere feelings are no less for being tardy.
