James Leroy Robinson, Sr., 82, of Dunkirk passed away July 29, 2026 at his home surrounded by family. He was born February 5, 1944 in Prince Frederick to Isaac Edward Sr. and Alice Myrtle (Ramsey) Robinson. Leory joined the United States Army in 1967 and was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1971. He married Rosemarie Jenkins on April 15, 1968, and they lived in Lothian before moving to Dunkirk in 1972. Leroy worked primarily as a farmer and worked at various Mom & Pop stores through the years. He most recently worked at Walmart before his retirement. Leroy loved being outside and working in the yard. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and watching game shows, especially the Price is Right and Let’s Make a Deal
James was preceded in death by his wife Rosemarie Robinson, daughter Becky Rivera, and siblings Betty Lane, Dorothy Estep, Edith Bright, Isaac Robinson, Jr., John Robinson, and William Robinson. He is survived by his children Tammy Oliver and her husband John of Dunkirk, Wonda Bryant and her husband Jim of Sandwich, MA, and James Robinson, Jr. of Elizabethton, TN, grandchildren Justin Rivera and his wife Haleigh, Jesse Rivera and his wife Brittany, Britny Hill and her husband David, Ashley Robinson, and Kaci Oliver, and great-grandchildren Dominic, Kyrin, Kaylee, Violet, Kennedy, Autumn, and Josie.
