At the end of my year as Rear Commodore I named Al as one of two Volunteers of the Year in commemoration of all the many outstanding activities he did for the club that year. It was very well-deserved! Al will be missed terribly.

All of us here at Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club send our sincere condolences, and Al was such a good friend of ours. We will miss him dearly, and he was an ICON at Solomon’s Island Yacht Club for all of us. He had such a wonderful smile and helpful attitude. Love to the entire Redfield family.

I am so sorry for you loss! Al was a great guy and I truly understand how hard this is.

Al made many friends on his visits with SIYC and the Brotherhood to Indian Creek Yacht Club. We are sad that we won’t be sharing a story and a beverage with him on future visits between our Clubs. Indian Creek YC extends our deepest sympathies to Cynde, Scott and other members of Al’s family.

Al was such a wonderful, fun person. He was our guide our first trip to Crisfield, Maryland and the Florida Keys. We always had such a fun time with him and Cynde. We will cherish those great memories. Sending our love and prayers to Cynde and the family.
