Herta Julianna Buckmaster, 101, of Prince Frederick, MD passed away on March 28, 2025 in Prince Frederick, MD.  Herta was born in Mannheim, Germany to Jakob and Eva Bauer.  There she spent her childhood up until WWII.  After the conclusion of the war, she met Henry Buckmaster.  The two wed and moved back to America in 1956.  Once coming state side Herta and Hery would be stationed through out the United States and finally settling in Calvert County, MD.  Here she raised her family and worked at the local bank for many years.  Her time was valuable, and she loved to spend it with her family and having cookouts.  Herta was predeceased by her parents and husband Henry.  She is survived by her daughter, Jeanie Etherson and grandson Dion Etherson.  She is also survived by family still in Germany.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday April 2, 2025, at the Rausch Funeral Home from 3-5 PM with a funeral service to follow at 5:00 PM.  Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
