Herman Buckingham
April 8, 1946 – March 20, 2025

Herman Buckingham, 78, of North Beach, MD, passed away on March 20, 2025, at his home. Born April 8, 1946, in Pottstown, PA, he was the son of Annie S. (Osman) and Taylor Buckingham.
Herman grew up in Pottstown where he resided before moving to North Beach in the early 1970s. He worked for Amtrak, Jim Weaver Custom Homes, and then for Brandywine Trucking up until his retirement in 2013. Herman held an unparalleled work ethic, which he extended to anyone in need, and always placed others before himself. He was a devoted member of North Beach Union Church, where he was baptized on September 10, 2017, and volunteered much of his time helping with upkeep of the property. He loved his life on the bay, where he spent his free time fishing and taking walks down the boardwalk. Herman’s many hobbies and interests included a keen fascination with trucks and classic cars, decorating his home with his vast collection of scale model cars, bowling, and roller skating. He was a lover of animals and was especially fond of dogs. Herman was known and admired most of all for his friendly disposition and positive outlook on life.
Herman is survived by his wife Judith Buckingham of North Beach; children Kimberly Lynn Breedlove and her husband Christopher of Chesapeake Beach, Dale Buckingham and his wife Katherine; stepchildren Daniel Foster of Lockport, NY, and David Foster of Pasadena, MD; grandchildren Jacob Breedlove, and Emily Buckingham.
