Gerald Francis Webb, Jr.

Gerald Francis Webb, Jr., 64, of Owings, MD passed away suddenly on October 24, 2016 at Inova Alexandria Hospital. He was born in Washington, DC March 3, 1952 to Gerald Frances and Elizabeth Irene (Hunt) Webb. He was a graduate of Wheaton High School, attended the University of Maryland and was a Navy Veteran. Gerald was employed in construction for the majority of his life and for the last 17 years was a senior bridge inspector with Metro. He was a life member of the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department, a member of its Board of Directors and a former rescue chief, and the Maryland Fireman Association.
He is survived by his wife Jean Marie Webb; children James A. Webb and his wife Ilea Zylich of Owings, Joshua A. Webb of Prince Frederick, Thomas Meador of North Carolina, John Harrison and his wife Kim of Chesapeake Beach, Jeannette Harrison of Myrtle Beach, SC, Justine Harrison of Dunkirk, Joseph Harrison of Owings and Joyce Harrison of Solomons; brother Thomas Beck and his wife Mary of Waldorf; sisters Elizabeth Caldwell and her husband Dennis of Copper Cove, TX and Bonnie Pellegrini and her husband Louie of Los Altos, CA; and 19 grandchildren.

I miss you bro. You left this earth just when you and I could have some adult talks. Almost 6 years it still seems like yesterday. I guess heaven was needing a hero somebody just like you. Brave enough to stand up for what you believed in,and follow it through…..
