It was such a joy to know George. Growing up in Lusby, I have many good memories of him. It was always fun to talk with him at Pardoe’s Store, the garage, or other places. George always worked very hard with his farming and his activities at home.
Whenever I would ask him how Norma Lee, his children, or his grandchildren were doing, he always had a great smile. He was very friendly to me and from what I saw, to everyone else as well.
My sympathies to Norma Lee and all of his wonderful family. I will really miss George.
With Sympathy, Charles Bennett
It was 1992 when I met George walking his dog around the CRE airport it wasn’t long before we were laughing, flying and telling lies. George may have seemed rough and salty on the outside but he always spoke kindly of his wife and children. And every once in awhile he would break out old photos from his wallet and talk about the good old days. It was hard to say goodbye to “old man George” when retired and moved west, he was like my second father and I will miss him greatly. Kevin Warren
