My truest & heartfelt condolences to Gary’s family. I will miss my dear friend but I know he is in a peaceful & happier place . Gary has been a constant in my life for so long. He was with me when I bought my first car & then laughing at the stories of my 21st birthday bash (& also lecturing me on playing smart), betting against the redskins & having to wear a redskin poncho & hat at work the next day- he was not happy! He was there for my wedding, all my kids birthdays & their own baby showers & baby’s birthdays. I think it hit me when there was an empty chair at Thanksgiving this year. My mom bought a flower for Thanksgiving because Gary always came with one in hand for her. I think we entertained him at Christmas morning breakfasts too. He was a quiet observer who chuckled to himself in the midst of the family craziness but always expressed his opinion & lent a hand if needed. I enjoyed hearing him talk about growing up & hanging in the garage working on cars with his friends- he certainly cherished those memories. When his mom moved in with him, he put her care at top priority & was dedicated to her. I could go on & on with the memories but in the end it will just leave me wishing I had been a better friend … one more like him. I love you Gary & will miss you always.
