I remember being in Nanette and Rick’s wedding…. it was the most grandest event I think I have ever had the privilege of being involved in. I was their flower girl (and Nanette’s little cousin). They paired me with the ring bearer who was “in my mind” MUCH younger than I…..probably only a couple years but I was insanely jealous I couldn’t be paired to walk with my cousin Raymond (REB) whom I had a childish crush on at the time (haha). I remember getting to the reception and they made us walk in with our “paired person” and I practically dragged this poor little boy across the dance floor out of pure resentment just to hurry and get the ordeal over with! But, I remember how beautiful the wedding was…… we all got to ride in limos and the bride and groom both rode in in a Rolls Royce! So classic and elegant! Nanette was statuesque beautiful and Rick was dashing and they were glowing in love! The reception was just fit for a king and the bridal party sat on a stage to eat their meal. It was one of my fondest childhood memories of my extended family and I know that Rick and Nanette had so many wonderful happy loving years of marriage that followed. I am so broken that I could not make the services, but he and the family are in my heart, my prayers, and my thoughts always! I love you guys! I can’t wait to see your dashing smile again sir….. until we meet again! “Au Revoir Monsieur, Le chagrin des adieux!”<3 – Michelle Bouvier – Forever cousin, relative, fan, and friend! Dearest Nanette, Devin and Shea,
Ryan, Pat and I are so deeply saddened to hear of Rick passing. We cannot imagine your pain but we hurt along with you. You all are very much on our minds and in our prayers as you weed through this difficult time. My memories of Rick went immediately to his great laugh and how much he loved watching his boys play soccer. His face would just light up like a Christmas tree. I remember like it was yesterday the first time we met him on the soccer field as we watched our children play soccer together. He was so competitive and really loved the game. We have great memories of our times together running up and down the road for soccer practices, games and tournaments. He always loved to tell stories and also share his perspective on the game. He was so proud of Devin and Shea and all their accomplishments and even had room in his big heart for our son Ryan. His love and devotion to his family was endless! May you find comfort in each other through your memories and lean on those who care about you for support. I know he will be with you always, watching and protecting you from above. Sincerely and with heartfelt love, Denise, Pat and Ryan
