Frederick Charles "Fred" Frick

Frederick Charles “Fred” Frick, 87, of Solomons, MD and formerly of Freehold, NJ, passed away on August 12, 2026 at The Hermitage, Solomons, MD.

Born August 19, 1938 in Freehold, NJ, he was the son of the late Carl Louis Frick and Marion Isabel (Bortz) Frick.

Fred was a 1956 graduate of Freehold High School.  He married Barbara Gladys Orr on January 21, 1961 at the First Presbyterian Church in Allentown, NJ.  Fred served in the U.S. Navy for fourteen years and retired from the National Security Agency (NSA). He resided in many places during his lifetime including New Jersey, Alaska, Japan, Florida, Diego Garcia, Azores, Turkey, Germany, India and Maryland.  Fred enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Fred is survived by his children and their spouses, Kevin and Mary Frick, Kimberly and Neil Osowsky, Janet Frick and Dayton Nance, Christine Earley, and Elaine and Nelson Couto; his grandchildren, Meaghan Gottschalk, Lauren and Ryleigh Wilson, Blake Couto, Marek and Sydney Nance and Leah Osowsky; and great-grandchild, Leland Holland.  In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Frick on August 31, 2016, and his siblings, Carl Frick, Richard Frick, Patricia Frick, Joyce Frick and Dee Beatty.
