I was in his 6th grade class at Rogers Heights ES Bladensburg MD in 1972. Great educator and a class act. I never forgot him because he made a great impression on me at a young age. He always smoked a pipe on his break. RIP Mr. Thompson I will never forget you.
It’s with sadness that I learned of Mr. Thompson’s passing. My family and I extend the most heartfelt sympathy to his friends and family. Mr. Thompson was my 6th grade teacher at Rogers Heights elementary in Bladensburg. He was at the helm of our all-boys class that year, and helped to keep a fairly roughshod group of highly energetic boys towing the line! I have always thought back on that unique year with fond memories. I am saddened to know we lived in the same town for so long and never crossed paths in Huntingtown. I would have been overjoyed to share some of my life with him and let him know I was grateful for his tutelage when I was a young man.
Deepest Condolences,
Lee Shoemaker and Family
