My Friend , I was so shocked when my best friend called & said you where gone. I just could not believe it. I worked with Sonya & Ed. for about 20 yrs. Where has the time gone. I remember when you two where married. Ed & I were Patty’s Godparents. When Ed & Sonya told me I had another God daughter on the way, Ed said you’re going in with her, right. I said no Buddy, this is your party. He laughed & said thanks. Sonya, you are a strong woman & I know your world is rocked but you will survive. I am sorry for his children, his parents & brothers & sister. Ed was a funny guy, he would make you laugh even during stressful times at work. Very kind person. Sarah & Ed came by my house & cleaned off my car & made sure my sidewalk was clear then they headed to check on his parents. There comes a time when we all must go home with our Savior. I’s hard to say goodbye but we know we will all be together one day. Ed’s family, may God be with all through this journey, and he will hold you dear. Your Guardian Angel will be looking over you always,
Ed and I started work together on 2/22/1983. We worked together for many years on the same shift. Ed was a professional when the job required such. Ed was a pleasure to be around if there was calm at work. Ed could talk about anything and certainly helped the long night shifts pass by. Ed was eager to assist anyone with the job knowledge he gained from years on the job. I shook Ed’s hand when I retired and asked him when he planned on retiring. He told me he would hang around a few more years. It’s sad that Ed never got to enjoy a retirement with his loving family.
I wish all the blessings to Sonya and the remainder of Ed’s family. You have my sincerest condolences.
