Edith was a kind-hearted soul. She and her family were neighbors (Coster), and at one point, she helped take care of my family while I worked. It wasn’t until years later, I discovered that her family is related to my (then) husband’s family—as is the case with so many Calvert families.
Edith worked hard all her life, just as she was taught in the honorable & proud tradition of a Waterman’s Wife. Despite the struggles & hardships, she was proudest of her children and devastated at the loss of her granddaughter years ago.
I ran into her in Solomon’s on a visit about five years ago. She knew me immediately. We exchanged updates on our children, and she was so happy. We hugged and went our separate ways. I’ll remember her fondly.
Sending Hugs to Bonnie, Susan, Mary Lou, Michael & Albert. Condolences to the entire Thomas family. XO Ginny Roth (née McCready)
I am so sorry for hearing about Ms Edith passing 2 days ago. I was one that took her home from Island Bingo. She was beautiful and wonderous lady. I am going to missed her not being at the bingo. My condolences go out to the family.

“Eddie” always had a smile and a friendly hello for any one she met as she made her way through the Solomons and Lusby areas. She will surely be missed by many residents of Calvert County. RIP
Our family never had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Thomas but we love and support her daughter Susan Prentice. We are so sorry for your loss and we pray that Gods peace would surround you and your family in this difficult time.
