Going on 8 years or is it 8 hours?  Days, months , years, whatever, it doesn’t matter.  My heart breaks every day when I wake up and have to remember that you’re not here.  I want to call you, text you, hold you, see you!  I know how much you loved me.  I remember one day when you took me up to Lowe’s to buy me a flower for my baby’s garden.  When I narrowed it down to two plants and couldn’t decide, you said, “oh gram, let’s get both!”.  Remember when Winston, our beta, died?  You said you would bury him.  I got a little box and handed him over to you.  You said, “gram, shouldn’t we say a few words?”  I asked if you could do it and you said,” well Winston, I guess our time together is over.  Thanks for all the happiness you gave my grandmother”.  I cried like a baby.  Not for Winston, but for the love you showed for me!  I miss you DD so much.  I think you were the one person who loved me unconditionally.  Thank you sweetheart.
