Donna Marie Parnell

Donna Marie Parnell, 62, of Partlow, Virginia, passed away on June 5, 2025 at her home. Born on September 28, 1962 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Diane (Elben) and Joseph Estep.

Donna grew up in Lothian, Maryland, alongside her three siblings, and attended Southern High School. She began working at the age of thirteen at Wayson’s Restaurant, bussing tables, helping in the kitchen, and running the lottery machine. She went on to work at the Food Lion in Edgewater, then at various grocers and food services throughout the years as a deli clerk. In her free time, she enjoyed nights out with family and friends, dancing and dining, or traveling to concerts, or just nights at home with good wine and Country Music! She enjoyed the outdoors, camping with grandkids, swimming, and fishing! She was always planning an event and was an excellent host. She spent a lot of time at the ocean where she got some sun and peace. She also loved shopping everywhere but especially GoodWill where she spent hours in their local store.

Donna is survived by her beloved husband of fourteen years William “Bill” Parnell of Partlow, VA; daughter Crystal Greathouse of Fredericksburg, VA; son Michael Greathouse, Jr., of (town); siblings Debbie Carter, Joe Estep, and Patsy Burroughs; six grandchildren; two nephews, two nieces; former spouse and father of her children Michael Greathouse, Sr. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Stefany Parnell; parents, Joseph and Diane Elben; and stepfather Allen Manges.
