To my brother Dennis, You have been a great brother to me and I am grateful for all the years we had together. It makes me sad that these last couple of years you struggled with your health, and yet somehow managed to face everyday with a smile. I’m going to miss your visits, our talks, and the laughter we shared through the years. But the thing I will miss the most is you were always there for me when I needed you. Your loving brother, Jack
To Jack, Roy and the whole family, my heart is with you. So many memories have come to mind. From sledding on the hill in winter together, playing board games, all of the fun times together we had growing up.. We’re both cousins and friends. I’ve thought of Dennis often. God’s blessings.
What can I saw about Uncle Dennis…..he was one of my favorite people growing up. He always had a smile on his face, I don’t think I ever saw him angry and he spoiled us every chance he could. He has been on my mind since the weekend after I saw a video of someone that scored a vintage green conversion van. I immediatly thought about Uncle Dennis’s conversion van (pretty sure it was green too) and the road trips to VA Beach to pick up Denise or to meet my Mom for our summer time with my Aunt’s. That van has been on my mind for several days, now I know why:( Keeping my Aunt Peggy in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Laura
So sorry to hear this. I knew Dennis when I worked for the schools. Dennis and I had many laughs and conversations when he came to the schools where I worked. He always had a smile on his face. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Uncle Dennis, you were my favorite uncle. I remember when we were kids and y’all lived in hunting hills. You’d give us kids drinks of soda on pizza oven pizza night. You’d tell us not to spill knowing full well one of us would. I have so many great memories of you. You were a very kind and gentle man. I know heaven is a brighter place because you are there. Love you Uncle D.
To the Gibson Family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Gibson would come by my classroom many times when I had his grandson at Appeal. I knew if we had any trouble with our PA system that I would get a visit. He was delightful, kind and gentle. We would laugh together as we both told stories of his grandson. I have always admired both of the Gibsons that I have had the pleasure of knowing. Those guys marched to the beat of their own drum. I will never forget either one of them. What a blessing.
I am so sorry to read that Dennis died. He was always kind and had a great smile. Peggy my heart goes out to you and the rest of the family. I will be sure to let Vic know, I know he will be heart broken. I will keep you in my prayers. Love, Judy
I was deeply saddened to hear of Dennis’s passing and May he Rest in Peace. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you navigate this profound loss. Our daughter, Denise Claffy, (fondly named Boots on the day she was born) and our grandchildren, Hannah and Stephen, held him in the highest regard and cherished every moment spent with him. He will be deeply missed but not forgotten. May you find comfort in the love of family and friends and in the cherished memories you shared with Dennis.

The day the good Lord took my brother away, I felt so lost and could not find my way. And then an angel whispered in my ear, “Don’t be sad, you have nothing to fear”. The sun, the moon, the stars, the tide, Your brother is always with you, He’s right there by your side.
Dear the Gibson family, So sorry to hear about the loss of Dennis. As a CCPS employee for a long time we could always count on him to come and check out our alarm when it would go off unexpectedly. Vic and Dennis would stop and chat for a while and we would usually end up with lots of good laughs. Will miss his warm smile, positive attitude and great laugh. May you find comfort during this difficult time. Hugs Linda Subda
