Debra Gibson Burrell
September 14, 1953 – December 16, 2023
Debra Gibson Burrell of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina passed away December 16, 2023 at home after an extended illness. She retired from the Prince George’s County Office of the Sheriff where she worked all of her career. She was preceded in death by her parents, T. Newton & Ella Young Gibson of Huntingtown, MD, and by her siblings Barbara Powell, Thomas N. Gibson III, Samuel R Gibson, and Jamie Gibson.
Debra is survived by her husband Michael Burrell of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and her sisters Sharon “Tish” Lucas (Ed) of St. Leonard, MD and Brenda Gibson Hance (Jimmy) of Madison, FL. She loved her husband, family, and friends, and also enjoyed her dogs and playing golf. She will be missed.

Very sorry to hear of Debbie’s passing. Many great memories of working at the Sheriff’s Office with her. She and Darlene were a huge help in getting my college papers typed. Definitely owe her a debt of gratitude for always being a good friend and willing to help. Thoughts and prayers to her family. RIP Debbie.
