Deborah Lee (Debbie) Baker Voorhees-Redmon, 62, of Churchton, MD passed away unexpectedly on November 26, 2019.  She was born February 2, 1957 in Baltimore to James Hallett and Priscilla (West) Baker.  Debbie was raised in Mayo and graduated from Southern High School.  She later attended Benjamin Franklin University in Washington, D.C. and graduated from George Washington University with a BA in Accounting.  Debbie worked as a CPA and owned and operated Deborah L. Voorhees CPA for many years.  She married Jan Matthew (Jay) Redmon in 2001, and they made their home in Churchton.  Debbie was a member of AICPA and enjoyed spending her free time with family, friends, and pets; plus participating in other activities that brought her happiness like travel, shopping, and entertaining.

Debbie is survived by her husband Jay Redmon of Churchton, son Ryan Schneider of Davidsonville, and siblings Walt Baker and wife Carole of Charleston, SC, Jeffrey Baker and wife Joanne of Mayo, and Susan Baker and husband Michael Ridgely of Mayo.  In lieu of funeral services, the family is planning to hold a “Celebration of Life” for Debbie in her local area early February 2020.

Jay and All of Debbie’s Family: I just found out about Debbie’s sudden passing and am just in shock. It’s almost impossible to believe that bright light is forever dimmed. My heart breaks for all of you. Please let me know when you will have her celebration of life – I would love and be honored to be there. Cathy Holstrom-Bird
