Daniel Bruce “Danny” Pence
August 13, 1955 – January 8, 2024
Daniel Bruce “Danny” Pence, 68, of Colonial Beach, VA and formerly of Lusby, MD, passed away on January 8, 2024 at his residence.
Born August 13, 1955 in U.S. territory of the Panama Canal Zone, he was the son of Barbara Pence and the late Perry Pence.
Danny graduated from Bowie High School in 1973 and from Prince George’s Community College in 1979. He worked as a technician and manager for over forty years, retiring in 2020 from Patuxent Business/Images as a service manager. Danny was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, the National Honor Society and the Green Mountain Boys. He was a Calvert County Public Schools volunteer from 1991-2001 and a Southern Maryland sports baseball coach. Danny enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, and golfing. He loved Shenandoah Park and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Danny is survived by his mother, Barbara Pence of California, MD; his wife, Theresa Pence, whom he married on August 15, 1981 in Bowie, MD; his children, James Pence (Aida) of Fort Irwin, CA, Victoria White (William) of Charlotte Hall, MD, Michael Pence (Amanda) of Lusby, MD and Joseph Pence of Lusby, MD; grandchildren, Joshua Pence, Jacen Pence, Jonathan Pence, Calliope White, Kaiden Pence and Julian Pence; siblings, Stephen Pence of Palmyra, VA and Laura Bashoor of Bradenton, FL; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Love and sincere condolences to all. Danny was a good friend and I was fortunate to talk with him by phone weeks before he passed. After his long illness , I am sure he knew how much he was loved and cared for by his lovely wife , children , family and friends .
