Where Heritage and Life are celebrated.

Daniel Brian Amos

October 10, 1994 – February 14, 2016

Daniel was born October 10, 1994 in Baltimore, MD. He spent the early years of his life growing up in Odenton where he attended Piney Orchard Elementary School. He later moved to Lusby where he attended Appeal Elementary School, Southern Middle School and Patuxent High School. During his time in Lusby Daniel met his lifelong best friends. He played football and baseball for SYB and the Solomon’s Steelers. He fell in love with music and spent countless hours with his father learning to play the drums and guitar and playing sports that would help shape his character and integrity. His mother was a wonderful example and instilled in him a sense of caring, compassion, gratitude, respect and a humble servant’s heart. Daniel was raised in a Christian home and was supported by loving grandparents, he came to a saving faith in Jesus Christ early on in his middle school years attending Calvary Bible Church where he cultivated many of the friendships he has today. Daniel played in several Christian bands and discovered a talent for soccer. He began his career at Chesapeake Church, first in the facilities department and then on the Arts Team as a staff leader where he played guitar for the worship team and coordinated youth events and multimedia projects. He and his sister Jessica had a closeness and a bond that words cannot describe and was beautiful to behold. He attacked life with passion in everything he pursued. He had a great eye for impeccable style and among his many passions was an affinity for collecting watches and accrued many fine pieces. Daniel met and married the love of his life, Kayla Cosner, on August 14, 2015. Together they squeezed a lifetime of love and happiness in their short time together on this earth. They now enjoy a lifetime together with their Savior in Heaven.

Daniel is survived by his father Kevin Amos and his wife Sharon of Stevensville, MD; mother Ingrid Leonard and her husband Jim of California, MD; sister Jessica Adkins and her husband Justin of Fairfax, VA; grandparents June Eastman of Smithsburg, MD, Donald Amos and his wife Lois of Odenton, MD and Janet Michalski and her husband Andy of Sparrows Point, MD. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle Alison and Mark Appenzellar of Smithsburg, MD as well as cousins Emily and Jordan Gibson. Daniel was preceded in death by his grandfather Gilbert Eastman.

Kayla is survived by her parents James A. and Jacqueline Cosner of Lusby; sisters Samantha and Melissa Cosner of Lusby; grandmother Barbara Jo Finch of Rose Haven and grandfather Albert Cosner of The Villages, FL. She is also survived by aunts: Kay Savary, Bobbie Meisenhelder, Patti Zollars, Janie Suss, Terri Sisk, Chrissy Harris, Jodi Jackson, Pam Bove and Kathy Schissler, as well as her uncle Eddie Finch.
