I remember Corey from the time she first came to the hospital and worked on the 4th floor. It was such a privilege to watch this young woman grow in her nursing career, become more confident and assured in her role. She was a force on the floors and an advocate for her patients. I wish that I could have known her outside of the work place. I know that she loved her family and would share pictures with me whenever we would meet in the halls. I will miss you Corey and will be praying for your family to find strength in the days ahead.
Corey, I remember when you first arrived on L4 and I oriented you to the unit. You made the time fly by with the had many conversations we shared. I remember when you and Andrew first started dating. Which blossomed into marriage, a home, and your sons. I still display the star Christmas ornaments you made for me. Your humor and presence will be missed.
Rest easy my friend, Bernice
Corey always had a smile when I came by on my rounds. Taken from us too soon. You were a great nurse and I know how much you loved your family from the conversations we had. Your eyes always lit up talking about them. Corey will be missed greatly. Nursing is a calling, a lifestyle. I know her husband understood this. Lighting a candle for you Corey.
Rest in Peace, Corey. You were taken from this earth way too soon. Our condolences go out to Andrew and your children. I remember when we first met you and how excited you were about buying a home in Breezy Point where we lived. When you would see Richard’s name on the register if he was on your floor at the hospital, you would stop by to say hello, which brightened his day. We send our prayers to your soul and your family, Richard and Carol Penfield, Breezy Point
