Clyde Floyd Schuyler, 73, of Lothian, Maryland, passed away on May 30, 2025 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Born on November 2, 1951, in Queen Anne’s County, Maryland, he was the son of Lolita Evalean (Long) and George Schuyler, Sr.

Clyde grew up on Maryland’s Eastern shore, and graduated from Queen Anne’s County High School. He married Patricia Nichols on July 29, 1978, and they made their home in Lothian, Maryland. Clyde was an active member of his community in Southern Maryland, coaching for his local Women’s Softball league, and participating with his Small Tractor Pulling club at competitions. An incredibly skilled woodworker, Clyde loved crafting unique pieces such as lamps, coat hangers, and even a wooden cannon for which he won Grand Prize at the Calvert County Fair.

He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia Lee Schuyler; son Clyde Floyd Schuyler, Jr., daughter Christina Beck; stepson John Michael Lewis, and seven grandchildren. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Lolita and George Schuyler, Sr.; brother George Schuyler, Jr., and stepson Thomas Lewis.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
