It is with great sadness that the family of Christa Gautrois announces her passing after a motor vehicle accident, on Tuesday September 11, 2018, at the age of 56 years.

Christa came to the U.S. in 1990 to work as a secretary for the Namibian Embassy and she was a part of the first group coming here to start the Namibian Embassy. She met her husband, Christian in DC and they married on June 30, 1995. The next year they started a family and Christa became a dedicated stay at home mom. Later in her life she would begin to work again. First at Place Vendome, a food produce company, as an accountant. Then for the last 4 years of her life she worked at Le Vieux Logis Restaurant in Bethesda, MD, as a joint ownership venture with her husband, Christian.

Christa will be forever remembered by her husband Christian, and their precious children, Claire, Celine and Dominique, by her mother Lucia Flucks, and by her brother and sisters Renate, Michael, Magdalene, Monica, Rosy, Mona and Lorraine. Christa will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, dear friends and co-workers.
