Charles Ebenezer "Chuck" MacDonald II

Charles Ebenezer “Chuck” MacDonald II, 92, of Chesapeake Beach passed away September 3, 2026 at his home surrounded by family. He was born September 9, 1933 in Columbus, OH to Dallas King and Luanna Margaret (Eberts) MacDonald. Chuck grew up in Columbus, OH and later moved to St. Petersburg, FL. He graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and served in the United States Navy from 1956-1958 when he was honorably discharged. He married Betty Jo Treadwell in 1958, and they have been residents of Chesapeake Beach since the mid 1990’s. Chuck enjoyed a successful career with the United States Government working as a nuclear regulator for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for many years. Chuck was a very active volunteer with the Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum. In his spare time, he enjoyed boating, fishing, and walking on the boardwalk.

Chuck is survived by his wife Betty Jo MacDonald, sons Jeffrey MacDonald of Ft. Myers, FL and Kevin MacDonald and his wife Teresa of Frederick, granddaughter Kelly MacDonald, brother Douglas MacDonald, and sister Clarice Hall.
