He worked in the field for fifteen years and spent the last eight years in different roles, including Project Manager, Service Manager, Business Development and Director of Service Operations. He currently holds Maryland and Virginia Master HVAC Licenses. He had recently been with American Mechanical Services (AMS) for 4 years before becoming the general manager.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife Heather and his four children Charlie Jr., Madison, Mariah and Wyatt. He is also survived by his parents, Carole and Tim Modlin and his grandmother Ella Irene McDaniel. Son in law to Becky and Andy Sievert, Brother of Christina Close (Anthony), Brother in law to Rachel Travis (Stevie), Alayna Sievert and Glenn Williams and Grandmother Bonnie Jean Turner. Uncle to Alyssa, Izzie, Anthony, Aubrey, Charlee, Cailynn, Trinity, Trenton and Brock. Lifelong friends Keith and Serenity Helwig, Rusty (Chop) and Jessica Helwig (Fab 6). Charlie was also a beloved coach, friend, co-worker, mentor and family to many.
In lieu of flowers, Charlie would be extremely pleased to continue his contributions to the following.

Life is as sweet as the friends you make and the family you have. Charlie was both to us. How do you ever grasp the concept that suddenly he’s gone? How do you repair your broken heart? You will never laugh, shake his hand or pat him on the back again. We will miss you in our lives, Charlie. Now and always.
May God bless his beautiful family and friends. Jesus, grant us peace.
Love Always,
Big Steve and Nancy Travis

Charlie was a great guy, he was loved by his guys & customers alike. It was always a pleasure to work with & talk to him about mechanical projects & life in general. When I heard about the crash my mind was blown & then when I heard that Charlie was on the plane, it felt like someone punched me in the gut. I have been trying to process this tragedy & loss of life ever since & it has been hard to come to grips with it. I have been praying for the family & for everyone that has lost loved ones due to this tragedy. We will all have to lean on the Lord to get us through this, time & strength through Jesus Christ will pull us through. I will continue to keep the family in my prayers & may God Bless You All!
