October 29, 1936- February 18, 2021

Charles Albert Gray, Jr., 84, of Prince Frederick, MD passed away on February 18, 2021 in Prince Frederick, MD.
With heavy hearts we are announcing the death of our dear father Charles “Chic” Albert Gray, Jr. Born October 29, 1936 to Ida Vietta Gray and Charles Gray Sr. of Prince Frederick, MD.
Preceding his death was his loving wife of 53 years, Kay Frances Coburn Gray, and Brother Donald Gray of Baltimore, MD. He is survived by his daughter Annette Gray Williams (Michael ‘Keith’)
Son Charles ‘Chuckie’ Gray III, daughter Carla Marie Gray Hutchins and brothers Michael (Tracy) and Carter (Carla) Gray. He was also blessed with 7 Grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He worked most of his life as a renowned Bulldozer Operator for Contractors: Vivian Humphrey’s, Chesapeake Ranch Club, Raye Vest, and retired from Trading Post in 2018.
He also was proud to have coached Women’s Softball in the 1970’s for Championship teams Prince Frederick, and Twin Shields. He was an avid bowler and broke records pitching horseshoes. His hobbies included collecting and going to yard sales with his beloved wife Kay. Later in life, his passions were feeding and watching ‘his’ birds and squirrels. His youngest daughter Carla has stayed with him and cared for him since the passing of our Mom. We don’t know how he would have gone on without her loving care. Thank you so much Little Sister! He will be profoundly missed and thought of daily. RIP beside your True Love. God Bless you, Dad!

I want to express my deepest sympathy to the family of Chic Gray. He was a great guy with quick wit and funny stories to keep you laughing for hours. He always had a smile and kind word for friends and strangers alike. He will be deeply missed by all that were fortunate enough to have known him. He is now with his one true love “Kay”. God Bless him and may he rest in eternal peace.
Prayers to all the family. Mr gray was one of the nicest gentleman I have ever met. He worked with my dad on heavy equipment for years, and I always talked with him on Saturday yard sales. He always had a bright smile and was kind to everyone. He will be missed but never forgotten.
I’m so sorry to hear of Chic’s passing. My late husband, Bill Burkman, worked with Chic for years. He was “the best” as far as Bill was concerned. They became good friends. When Bill passed, Chic came to Bill’s service with his brother Michael. He was sorry for our loss and we were grateful that he came. It meant the world to our family that he was there. I’m no longer in Maryland but out west now but please know my prayers are with all who loved Chic. I’m sure he and Bill are swapping old stories about their days at Raye Vest,
Sincerely,
Jeanine Burkman and Family❤️
HI Carla and Chuck, I went to school with Carla and grew up in Prince Frederick in the Dares Beach area. I know your father was in good hands as I remember the kind, caring and loving person you are. God Bless the family. Close knit families suffer so hard the loss of a parent(s). My thoughts and prayers with all the family and friends.
Sincerely,
Alisa(Woods)Lambert
