Carolyn Rose Cranford

Carolyn Rose Cranford, 78, of Huntingtown passed away July 6, 2022. She was born July 9, 1943, in Prince Frederick to Alfred and Mary (Rawlings) Weisman. Carolyn grew up in Prince Frederick and graduated from Calvert High School in 1961. She married John Gibson Cranford on May 6, 1962, and they lived in Huntingtown. Carolyn worked at IGA in Prince Frederick, the Gott Company, and Lusby Hardware over the years. During her retirement years she worked as a cafeteria helper at Plum Point Elementary, Plum Point Middle, and Huntingtown High School. Carolyn was an active member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and in her spare time she enjoyed clogging, camping, and spending time with her family.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband John Gibson Cranford, Sr., sister Joan Cranford, brother Donald Weisman, and her parents. She is survived by her children John Cranford and his wife Elizabeth of Huntingtown, Victoria Whetzel and her husband Scott of Dunkirk, and Donald Cranford and his wife Carolyn Dawn of Huntingtown, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
