Condolences from the Willsey(Hammond) family in Indy. Sorry to see another one of the 17 pass. Prayers for all of you. Sounds like she is having some fun on the other side.
Hope to see you all at a family reunion soon!
Love that woman! I knew Aunt Betty as such a calm, steady presence. A beauty, as well! (I see my dad, her brother, in her face/eyes). She did well to live to 100! Thinking of you all as you celebrate her life! Peace to you and
Much love,
Mary Hammond Atkinson
(John R. Hammond Jr’s youngest daughter)
Mike/Lisa and family I remember many summers of fun when your mom, dad and you visited us in Indiana. My mother was so excited when she knew you were on the way. Memories are golden and many will never be forgotten . Know that we are thinking of you as you celebrate her life. Sorry we can’t travel to be with you. I will miss her smiles and hugs. Love to all , her little brother Eddie
Sending thoughts and warm wishes to Mike, Lisa, their families and all Hammonds. My memories of cousin Betty are fond and many. Always good natured, kind, and positive! She was a second mom to me for a couple of years when I was born as my parents asked her to leave Indiana and live with us in Washington so mother could go back to work. Then again in 2004 Betty invited Brad and me to stay with her in Deale when we moved back east from California while we found a place to live. My memories of summers in Indiana around Greencastle and Putnam County and seeing many of you there and also in DC on senior trips etc. are flowing this past week. So many good times. She was a great lady. Peace to all. I send this also in memory of my parents, Gladys Hammond Dunkin and Paul Dunkin. I will be with you all in spirit this Thursday.
