Alexander Reeves Guest
November 21, 1995 – December 21, 2022
Alex Reeves Guest was born and raised in Calvert County and lived his 27 years in Owings, Maryland. Alex came into this world in a big way: a big baby, a big personality, and a big, open heart.
Throughout childhood and his teens, Alex played almost every sport imaginable – soccer, baseball, basketball, football, even wrestling and roller hockey. Particularly fond of baseball, he was a great pitcher and first baseman. We’ll never forget those many times with bases loaded, “he hit a grand slam! Always supportive of his love of sports, Alex’s dad, Sam Guest coached his baseball, soccer, and basketball teams, sometimes bringing their team to a championship win. Throughout his teens, you could always find Alex at Dunkirk Park or Northeast Community Center playing pick-up basketball with his buddies. Clever and quick-witted, Alex had a knack for math and logical thinking. As his competitive spirit grew, he developed a love of chess and poker.
Graduating high school in 2014, he treasured his friendships and carried them with him into life after school. Alex radiated a friendly nature and genuine love toward his friends and family. His smile and laugh were infectious to those all around him. Always an open ear, folks could count on Alex to listen, comfort, and assure them. Gone too soon from this world, Alex will be deeply missed.
Alex is survived by his father Samuel R. Guest and wife Sharon of Owings, his mother Vicki Lynn Guest of Raleigh, North Carolina, his sister Samantha Allen of Raleigh, and grandparents Roger R. Guest, Stanley Prisco and Joan Kilmon. He was preceded in death by grandparents Rosemary and Bud Kilmon and Madeline Prisco.
A Celebration of Life for Alex will be held Saturday January 21, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the Stallings-Williams American Legion Post 206, Chesapeake Beach, MD.

Alex truly had a wonderful presence. Only knew him for 3 years but he left an indelible mark on my heart. His laugh, knowledge of sports, love of the game, endearing personality and kind spirit made him unique. I will miss you Alex. Eileen
Thoughts of the entire Guest family after the death of your son Alex. Was only in his company a few times and found him a fine young man, handsome, intelligent and easy to talk with. We talked about our fascination with computers and his joining the boys Saturday mornings in Bowie for breakfast. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He will be missed; may he rest in peace. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
We feel your pain, Jim and Connie Prisco Reese
Vicki, Sami, Sam and Sharon,
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Alex. Alex always wore that infectious smile that brightened everyone’s day. He was taken from this world way too soon, but know that he is always smiling down on all of you.
