Margaret J. “Jean” Engelhardt, 97, of Lusby, MD and formerly of Oxon Hill, MD passed away on September 21, 2021 at her residence. Born February 1, 1924 in Charles County, MD, she was the daughter of the late William J. Dobson and Anne B. (McDonald) Dobson.

Jean graduated from Lackey High School in 1940 and was a Telephone Operator for Bell Atlantic.  She loved to read, sew, quilt, make candles and loved to cuddle her cats.

Jean is survived by her children, Margaret and John Lohr of New Paris, PA, Gloria Mazzocco of Imperial, PA, George and Donna Engelhardt of LaPlata, MD; son-in-law Pat McCall of Lusby, MD; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry G. Engelhardt on July 4, 1988; her daughter, Nancy McCall on October 1, 2020; and her sister, Irma O’Brien.
