I will miss Mary so much, she was so sweet and it was a pleasure knowing her. We had such good times at the Deale Library Storytime when our kids were small and in later years seeing her working at the Deale Library. I’m so sorry for your loss and I know she will be greatly missed by everyone.

Mary and I were High School friends (Class of 67). She was always so happy and fun loving. After we graduated, we would get together and she would ask me to drive her car so I did! Who wouldn’t want to drive a new Mustang?
She was so easy going and kind to everyone and I have thought of her often over the years. Several times when I was in the Deale area, I would stop by the library to see her but it was always on a day that she wasn’t there. My thoughts and prayers are with Barry and the family. Heaven now has a new angel.

I am very sorry to hear of Mrs. Sullivan’s passing. She was very kind to me when I first started teaching at Shady Side Elementary. My collection of resource pictures for my students was all put together by Mrs. Sullivan as well as many other visuals I used in teaching. She assisted in my classroom for many years and then was a valuable resource at the library. My sincere condolences to the family, she was a wonderful, loving person and I know she will be missed.

I was always so happy when I arrived at Deale and realized I would be working with Mary. Her bright smile and cheerful demeanor made everyone, customers and staff alike, feel welcomed and appreciated. I also really enjoyed talking with Mary about books, she always gave me good tips for what to read next. Her deep love for her family was evident every time she spoke of them. She will be much missed by all.

I am so sad to hear of Mary’s passing. I grew up with Mary and rode the school bus with her for many years. And as an adult I looked forward to seeing her smiling face at the library and her many suggestions for good books which I always followed up on reading them! She brought many hours of enjoyment! I’m going to miss seeing her on my trips to the library. God bless your family.

Melinda, I’m just seeing this. I can’t believe it. Your Momma was one of the kindest people I’ve known. We used to share books to read at the library years ago. I met her when I used to visit a girlfriend in Fairhaven when I was just 10-12 years old. I send my love and prayers to you, your Dad and the family. I know this is hard. Cry as you must, but she would probably want you to be strong for Dad and your kids.
Love you. Heidi Mudd
