James William Lively, 72, of Deale passed away February 16, 2016 at the Burnett-Calvert Hospice House in Prince Frederick. He was born July 24, 1943 in Takoma Park to William and Mary (Beck) Lively. James was raised in Takoma Park and attended public schools. He married Linda Hutchinson in 1963 and they lived in Silver Spring before moving to Calvert County in the summer of 1979. He was employed with the US Government as a GSA Fire Protection manager. In his leisure time he enjoyed camping at Shenandoah National Park with family and friends and watching his grandchildren play sports.

James is survived by his wife Linda E. Lively of Chesapeake Beach; sons Shawn R. Lively and his wife Sarah of Chesapeake Beach and Dean W. Lively and his wife Robin of Huntingtown and grandchildren: Evan, Kirsten, Ella, Kaelin and Anna Lively. He is also survived by his brother Robert Lively of Bowie and sisters Nina Jo Stubbs of Elizabeth City, NC and Louetta Smith of Salisbury.
