Lori Jean Newman

Lori Jean Newman, 66, a longtime resident of Deale, MD passed away on November 1, 2026. She was born October 7, 1960, in Annapolis to John William and Patricia Lee (Derouen) Revell. Lori grew up in Deale and graduated from Southern High School in 1978. She moved to Florida when she was 19, where she lived for 11 years before moving back to Deale in June of 1990. She worked as a Bar Manager at Happy Harbor for 35 years, where she met dear friends, formed lasting relationships, and was like a second mom to many. Lori loved to spend time with family and friends, especially with her daughter Kassidy. They would shop and talk for hours together. It was her favorite thing to do. She loved her granddaughters, Brooke and Maddie, and loved playing board games together. To know Lori was to love her. Lori will be incredibly missed by her family and friends.

Lori is survived by her daughter Kassidy Butler, her partner Joseph Petro of Deale, stepdaughter Melody Vandevort and her husband Jesse, sisters Robin Revell-Dunn and Karen Panciocco, brother Mark Revell, grandchildren Madilyn and Brooke Vandevort, nieces and nephews Jeremy Revell, Justin Revell, Kristin Buckmaster, Emma Panciocco, and Chance Revell, cousins Jeff, Lisa, David, and Erin Clark, and Cody, Lauren, Grace, and John Paul Beal as well as numerous other cousins and extended family.
