Mona Ann Grey Bucci

Mona Ann Grey Bucci, 85, passed away peacefully at her family home on September 10, 2026, surrounded by her family and in the comfort of the home and cherished surroundings she loved.

Mona was the devoted wife of William F. Bucci and the loving mother of James C. Bucci. She was a cherished grandmother of six: Sarika Nicole Broussard Bucci, Christina Brook Bucci, Shelby Lynn Bucci, Sonya Renee Bucci Magallanes, Sonju Eddna Bucci, and Sonhe Leslie Proctor. She was also a beloved great-grandmother of seven: Alyssa Leigh Bucci, Madison Noel Bucci-Miller, Isabella May Bucci-Miller, Noah Christopher Bucci-Miller, Danae Bucci, Nashawn Proctor, and JJ Fullerton.

After graduating from Lackey High School, Mona pursued her passion for caring for others and earned her Registered Nursing degree from Washington Hospital Center. Her life later took a different and equally meaningful path when she developed an interest in antiques.

What began as an interest grew into a successful business. Mona obtained her sales tax license and established an antique shop in Old Town Bowie, Maryland. She had a keen eye for unique and interesting treasures and took great pleasure in both collecting and sharing them with others. Over the years, she built a substantial collection of antiques and collectibles, each reflecting her curiosity, appreciation for history, and love of beautiful and unusual things. She continued selling and collecting antiques until her retirement.

Outside of her work and collecting, Mona enjoyed antiquing, traveling across the country to visit friends, and making trips to Maine to spend time with family. She treasured the connections she made throughout her life and the memories created with the people she loved.

Mona’s final wishes were simple and deeply personal: she wanted to remain at home with her family, surrounded by the cherished belongings and familiar surroundings that brought her comfort and joy. Her wishes were fulfilled, and she passed away peacefully and comfortably at home, with her family close by.

Mona will be remembered for her independent spirit, her curiosity and appreciation for antiques, her love of travel and family, and most of all, the lasting love she gave to those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, friends, and the many treasures and stories she leaves behind.
