Ann Dziuba

Ann Dziuba, 84, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on September 6, 2026, in Solomons, Maryland. We have comfort knowing she is now with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Ann was born June 23, 1942 to Alvina Lazevnik and Anthony Shukwit of Duryea, Pennsylvania. She spent most of her life in Gaithersburg, Maryland where she became a devoted volunteer and a faithful member of her community. Her first job was as a secretary for Hewlett-Packard. It was during that time that she met her husband, Ronald Dziuba, at a pool party hosted by the young adults club at her Catholic church, a meeting that would begin a lifelong love story. She later worked as an accounting technician with the Federal Government. Though she took pride in her professional life and service to others, she was most fulfilled in the roles she cherished most deeply, as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devout Catholic.

Ann is survived by her loving husband, Ronald, and her children, Douglas (wife Andrea), Pamela (husband Mark), and Marsha (husband Kevin.) She also leaves behind her seven grandchildren, Jessica, Rachel, Madelyn, Katelyn, Daniel, Annabel, Luke and her great-grandchild Lily. Her family was the center of her world. She found great joy in their accomplishments, their visits, and the simple moments they shared together and her presence will be deeply missed in every gathering. Ann was also preceded in death by her beloved infant child, Susan.

Ann lived her life with grace and warmth and she was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, dancing, going out to dinner, and holiday celebrations. She especially loved watching her “stories”, saying her morning prayers, and spending time with her family.

Her Catholic faith was the foundation of her life and she lived it with sincerity and devotion. Ann was guided by prayer, compassion, and a deep trust in God.

Though her passing leaves a great emptiness, the memory of her gentle heart and faithful life will remain a source of comfort to those who loved her. We are at peace knowing she is no longer in pain and is reunited with her mother and daughter, Susan.

A Catholic funeral mass will be held Friday, September 18th at 10:30 am in the chapel at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Parish, 11701 Clopper Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20878.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann’s memory to St. Rose of Lima Parish.
