Thomas Michael "Tommy" Wilde, Sr.

I met Tommy about 40 years ago, started dating Karla also, Al and me worked together(My supervisor), he would invite me to join the gang for parties, I did, we would always be at Al & Sherrys house, what great times we had, Tommy(Donna), Darrel, Mark, Al & Sherry, Paul-Bird(Lori), Tony(Joan), Chris(Tiny), Chris(brother), Matt, Polly and many others. “I found my people”, Tommy was always so nice to me, I felt like family, he was so funny, He had me laughing all the time. He was a great Man, husband, father, mechanic (ford man-dedicated), hunter, fisherman, I always loved spending time with him (even if he could drink me under the table-LOL). I will always cherish our time together and the great memories. God Bless You Tommy, I know Donna & Darrell are happy you arrived! With all our love-Tim n Karla

Though I have many memories of Tommy, I have a funny one that I wanted to share. We had gone hunting one morning down Richard Offered’s farm just off of Pushaw Station Road and it was a real slow morning. It was kind of breezy which explains part of it. Tommy got out of his stand and walked to mine. He said, “Lets go walking and see what signs we see”. So we started walking the road back towards his stand. We got about 50 yards from my stand and there was a ten point buck chasing a doe. He told me to stop, he raised his gun, and pulled the trigger. A big doe ran past coming from the same direction and he said I can’t believe I missed him. I said Tommy, if you were shooting at a buck, you didn’t miss him because that was a doe. I heard him crash to our left. We walked down in the direction I had heard the crash and sure enough, he had not missed. (That is the deer head hanging on the wall in his living room). I always told the story that he dragged me out of my stand and carried me back there to watch him shoot my deer. Tommy was a good shot. He rarely missed. Tom, I miss you dearly. Rest in peace brother.

Remembering our Cape Anne days, the fun, laughter, partying, Mike Tyson fights, you punching John Ward, cherished times, even though I have been away for decades,  I will always remember those growing up days with the Wilde’s, & the Bresnehan’s & the rest of the Cape Anne crew. Rest in Peace Tommy Wilde.

Though it seemed challenging at times it was a great opportunity to spend time with him. He insisted on buying lunch saying it was the least he could do. Arby’s on Monday, McDonalds on Tuesday, Wendy’s on Wednesday, I do not recall Thursdays, but Christopher’s crabcakes on Friday. He had a schedule and his reason for that schedule. His reason for Tuesday McDonalds was Kris was home and she liked the chicken sandwich. He had his own route to get wherever we were going. He knew where every pothole was and we were all instructed to avoid them at all cost because he felt every bump in his back. He kept helping with vehicles even if it were just instructing us how to do it. He would sit out in the driveway and instruct us,  sometimes on his good days, he would even step him and do it his self. Thank you so much Tom for the past 18 months. I enjoyed almost every moment.
