Larry Ronald "Ronnie" Stallings, Sr.

With profound sadness, we announce that Ronnie’s 18-month battle with cancer has ended. He passed away peacefully at home on August 12, 2026, with his family by his side. He was 75 years old.

The youngest of eight children to Warren Oliver, Sr. and Louise Virginia (Cochrane) Stallings. He was born at home on Goodman Goldstein’s farm in Lusby, Md. Today, the house remains are a historical landmark at Calvert Cliffs.

Ronnie was a proud 9th generation Calvert Countian. He grew up living and working on tobacco farms throughout Calvert County. He attended Prince Frederick Elementary, Calvert Middle School and Calvert County High School. At 16 years old, he started working as a carpenter helper for his brother Punch.

Ronnie met Judy Christine Moss in 1968, and they recently celebrated a 58-year union. Together they raised their children Little Ronnie, Angie & Amy in Huntingtown. He built his home with his own two hands, mortgage free, which brought him great pride. For 20 years, Ronnie and Judy owned and operated Stallings Liquors & Grocery on Ponds Wood Rd. A carpenter by trade, he formed Stallings Brothers Carpentry with his brother Russell. He framed countless homes throughout Maryland for Pulte Homes for over 20 years. Later, with his wife and son, they built turn-key homes and completed insurance restoration for many years as Stallings National Enterprises.

He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. As a father, Ronnie was an exceptional provider, needing very little for himself, making sure his children had everything they dreamed of. His six grandchildren were his greatest joy, he was the proudest Pop and was very hands-on. As a Pop, he had a special relationship with each of them individually. He never missed a game, competition or race until he was sick. Later in life, Ronnie could be seen all around town with his brother Roger, working together, breakfasts at Trader’s, shopping trips to Sam’s Club and farm stands. Family was the most important thing to him until the very end.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Constance “Sweetie” Wood and Gloria “Ann” Frisco, brothers Clifton “Punch”, Warren, Jr “Tommy”, Page and Russell Stallings, sisters-in-law Patricia & Gail Moss, mother-in-law Jataner Stebbins, and father-in-law A.G. Moss.

He is survived by his wife Judy Stallings, son Larry “Ronnie” Stallings, Jr. of Chesapeake Beach, daughters Angela Stallings and Amy Fowler of Huntingtown, sons-in-law Robert Wyvill and Sutton Fowler of Huntingtown, grandchildren Hunter King, Olivia Fowler, Dominic Stallings, Colton Stallings, Ryder King, and Serena Fowler, his brother Roger Stallings of the home, sisters-in-law Cheryl & Patricia Stallings, MD, Tina Crust, MO, brothers-in-law Lloyd & Ronald Stebbins, MO, and Zeke Gregory, FL, 22 nieces and nephews and 36 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, children and sons-in-law.
