Nathan Bailey Swan, 28, of Lusby, Maryland, passed away on June 25, 2026, in Pace, Florida.

Born on September 3, 1997, on Whidbey Island, Washington, Nathan was the beloved son of Melissa Miller and Christopher T. Swan.

Nathan graduated from Patuxent High School in 2016 before answering the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Navy on July 26, 2018. He proudly served as an Air Traffic Controller throughout his military career. During his service, he was stationed aboard the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6) in San Diego, California, the USS Kearsarge (LHD-3) in Norfolk, Virginia, Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland and volunteered to support Naval Support Activity Bahrain. Nathan was dedicated to his duties and took great pride in serving his country.

Outside of his military service, Nathan enjoyed spending time with his dogs (Hazel and Arya), gaming, watching movies, and golfing. He appreciated life’s simple pleasures and valued the time he spent with family and friends.

Nathan is survived by his parents, Melissa Miller of Lusby, Maryland, Christopher T. Swan of the Philippines and Step-Father Jacob Miller of Lusby, Maryland; and his sisters, Megan Swan, Ashley Swan, and Reaghan Miller, all of Lusby, Maryland as well as his niece, Selena Ferguson.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Nathan’s life during a visitation on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Rausch Funeral Home, 20 American Lane, Lusby, Maryland. Funeral services and interment will be private.

Nathan will be remembered for his dedication to his country, his caring nature, and the joy he found in spending time with those he loved. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and fellow service members.
