October 10 – Obituary: Harold Ellis Greenberg
Mr. “E” you are now at peace from all of your pain and suffering Carolyn and I will miss you. We enjoyed your visit to Baton Rouge where you met our extended family including our 4 grandchildren. We spent many years at OC and enjoyed watching your boys, Jason & Michael growing up. There was a tub of water at the end of the deck at the beach used to wash our feet off after going into the ocean. We would change the sandy water and add new so Jason would sit in it. I remember 1 time while he was in the tub, you asked him a question and he answered “I cannot know”, I still use that today. Our first meeting was in January of 1968, our ladies worked together and when we arrived at your apartment you were reading the Washington Post, you shook my hand and sat back down to finish reading, my man. We enjoyed the visit that Diane and you came to Baton Rouge and met our extended family including our 4 grand ones. We did not quite convert you 2 to Cajun even though we took you out for Crawfish, and most important at our dinner at Ruth’s Chris’s when my brides purse fell over, Carolyn had the whole restaurant in stitches. We will miss you and be at peace my very good friend, love you Carolyn & Michael
